The starting point for this 17 day tour of eastern Canada is Toronto according to ebizdir. The road then leads on to the fantastic national parks to the north. After a stop in the capital Ottawa, the journey continues to Qubec’s national parks where the tranquility and nature are in sharp contrast to the vibrant cities. Now the road leads south through Quebec City, Montreal and Kingston to finally reach the spectacular Niagara Falls.

Day 1: Departure from Scandinavia and arrival in Toronto
Departure from Scandinavia and arrival in Toronto the same day. After picking up your rental car, drive to your hotel in Toronto. At the reception, materials and information about your road trip here in Canada await. You have the rest of the day off to explore Toronto.
Day 2: Toronto – Midland (145 km)
The day begins with a beautiful trip to Huron County via the town of Penetanguishene. Here in the area you can explore Georgian Bay’s 30,000 islands or make an excursion to Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons Mission National Historic Site of Canada where French Jesuits settled in the 17th century.
Day 3: Midland – Huntsville (185 km)
Today you drive northeast towards Huntsville and Algonquin Provincial Park in the beautiful Muskoka region filled with opportunities. You can cycle, canoe, fish, hike or just enjoy nature.
Day 4: Huntsville
The Huntsville area offers activities such as tennis, golf, horseback riding and hiking. A short drive away are Lion’s Lookout Park and Muskoka Pioneer Village, both of which are well worth a visit.
Day 5: Huntsville – GatineauPark / Ottawa (350 km)
Today you cross the border into Quebec where Gatineau Park is located. Here there are, among other things, many bike paths and the opportunity to enjoy a bike ride. Along the river there are many viewpoints where you enjoy beautiful views of the area.
Day 6: Ottawa – Tremblant (200 km)
Explore the capital with its parliament buildings, museums, beautiful parks. Take the opportunity to stroll through the ByWard Market or go out on the Ottawa River and take a boat trip or swim on one of the two beaches on Petrie Island. About 80 km from Ottawa is Omega Park where you can do a wilderness safari and see moose, bears and bison. It is also just a short drive to the Laurentian Mountains.
Day 7: Tremblant
Enjoy a full day in Laurentian. A nice excursion is a visit to the small town of St. Jovite and a stop in Quebec’s oldest park Mont Tremblant Park, Canoeing down with Lake Chat and Mount de la Vache Noire. Here you can enjoy nature at your own pace and maybe take a short break by the beach.
Day 8: Tremblant – Quebec City (380 km)
Start the day with a beautiful drive on the Chemin du Roy that will take you past historic French-Canadian villages. Quebec is one of the country’s oldest cities and many streets are still characterized by 19th century architecture.
Day 9: Quebec City
You have a full day to explore Quebec City. Highlights here include the city’s fortress, Place Royale and the historic quarter of Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are also many good restaurants and cafés.
Day 10: Quebec City – St. Michel-Des-Saints (180 km)
You continue your journey through scenic areas and a beautiful landscape through the Mauricie / Bois-Francs and Lanaudiere regions. The road continues through forest and untouched nature in Lac à la Truite.
Day 11: St. Michel-Des-Saints
In Lac à la Truite you are surrounded by the beautiful nature and there are lots of outdoor activities such as water sports with canoes, boats, you can ride a mountain bike and there are also many nice hiking trails where you are close to nature.
Day 12: St. Michel-Des-Saints – Montreal (160 km)
Cross the Lanaudiere region and the many lakes here. Stop in Berthierville and take the opportunity to see the Gilles Villeneuve Museum. Then continue to today’s final destination, the vibrant city of Montreal. Some of the city’s sights and attractions are the Notre-Dame Basilica, the Olympic Stadium, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Mount Royal Park and the casino. Here is also La Ville Souterraine – the underground city with 32 kilometers of tunnels but which has more than endless hiking to offer. It also houses about 2,000 shops, 1,200 offices, 200 restaurants, 40 banks, seven hotels, a church, three exhibition halls, and The Bell Center – which in itself houses the theater, amphitheater and the NHL’s largest hockey arena.
Day 13: Montreal – Kingston (290 km)
You are now driving into Ontario and can experience the tranquility of the Thousand Islands region during a boat trip. We also recommend that you visit the Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg and Old Fort Henry.
Day 14: Kingston – Niagara Falls (390 km)
Drive along Lake Ontario toward the capital of Ontario, Toronto, before reaching Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming 19th-century small town. You can board the Hornblower boat to make an unforgettable trip to American Falls. On the way you pass massive rock formations and on towards fantastic Horseshoe Falls. Take lots of photographs, but bring a rain jacket and a cover for the camera because it can get wet during the trip.
Day 15: Niagara Falls – Toronto (130 km)
From Niagara Falls, the journey goes back to Toronto where you have the rest of the day on your own, Toronto is Canada’s largest city with exciting ethnic mix, cool urban architecture and world-class experiences – everything from ice hockey to opera. And just 20 minutes by boat from the hustle and bustle of the big city, you will find the lovely Toronto Islands with the opportunity for sun, swimming and beach.
Day 16: Departure from Toronto
Enjoy the last morning in Canada before driving back to the airport to return the rental car and fly back to Scandinavia.

You land again in Scandinavia, the time depends on which airline you have chosen to travel with.
