Indianapolis is an important hub for industry, culture and economy. The face of this progressive, vibrant city has changed a lot over time. After connecting to the rail network, Indianapolis quickly developed into an important regional center. Today, the city is best known for hosting one of the major international auto races, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Culture is not neglected either, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has a good reputation. Theater, musical, opera, ballet and modern dance are also part of the cultural offer. A stroll through the City Market is fun, almost 100 stalls, stalls and shops offer handicrafts, culinary delights and all sorts of little things. Eagle Creek Park is one of the largest city parks in the United States, and you can also relax in beautiful Garfield Park.

The Historical Museum in the small town of Lafayette contains interesting exhibits and documents from the early 19th century, when the Indians unsuccessfully fought against the overpowering white soldiers and settlers who took the country from them.

Also worth visiting are the Indiana Dunes National Park, Amish Acres – a restored 19th century Amish settlement near Nappanee, the pioneer settlement Conner Prairie, the Squire Boone Caves and the famous Fort Wayne.
