List of Major Banks in Pennsylvania

By | January 30, 2023

Pennsylvania is characterized by huge forests, pretty parks, shimmering lakes and thousands of miles of rivers and streams. In autumn, the forests shine in the most beautiful colors, and winding roads lead through idyllic historical cities and over numerous covered bridges. The US state is also a cultural center and offers visitors many first-class museums and an interesting mix of ethnic and cultural groups.

The history of Pennsylvania is also of interest. The state started out as an experiment by Quaker activist William Penn, Jr. King Charles II allowed him to set up a colony in the New World, and Penn selected a green, forested part of Pennsylvania to house anyone who believed in God. Less than a century later, the United States’ Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia – now one of the country’s largest cities – and the United States was born.

  • According to acronymmonster, the nickname of Pennsylvania is The Keystone State.

Vacation spots & excursions

Pennsylvania Dutch Country (which was actually settled by Germans in the 18th century) is located in the southeast of the state. This is where the German-born Amish live, who have retained the customs and customs of their ancestors to this day. The men wear beards, black hats and coats, the women have bonnets and simple, floor-length dresses. Lancaster, Lititz, Strasburg, Bird-in-Hand and Ephrata are particularly worth seeing here. The magnificent Capitol of Harrisburg has 650 rooms. The city of Gettysburg played a major role during the American Civil War. Here you can see the Gettysburg National Military Park and the Visit the Eisenhower National Historic Site. The Pocono mountains are ideal for fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping and skiing in winter. Like the Niagara Falls, the mountain towns are popular destinations for honeymooners. Hershey is the capital of chocolate where you can watch chocolate products being made in Hershey’s Chocolate World. In York you can see the largest factory of Harley-Davidson Motor Company visit.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia (Internet: www.visitphilly.com), located on Delaware, is an important trade, research, art and industrial center and since 2015 the first UNESCO World Heritage City of the United States. Numerous historical places and buildings can be visited. In 1776, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed in Independence Hall, which can be viewed in the center of the Independence National Historical Park. In the glass Liberty Bell Pavilion stands the bell that marked the first public announcement of the declaration of independence. Franklin Court is now an underground museum where Benjamin Franklin’s house, one of the founding fathers of the United States, once stood. Also worth seeing are Old City Hall, Christ Church (Franklin and George Washington went to church here), Fairmount Park on the Schuylkill River, the Philadelphia Museum of Art & Rodin Museum, Penn’s Landing (William Penn, founder of the state landed here in 1682) and the Valley Forge National Historical Park west of the city (a major memorial to the Revolutionary War).
