Curacao climate
The average maximum temperatures throughout the year are never far below 30 ° C. There is a lot Sun, with northern trade winds mainly between January and March. October through December are the only particularly rainy months, although the rains do not last particularly long.
Best travel time for Curacao
The temperature is not an issue when planning a trip to sunny, dry Curaçao, as the average temperature is high all year round (around 28 ° C) and constant trade winds keep the humidity low. When it rains, it is usually in November or December. The island is below the hurricane belt so there is usually nothing to worry about. If you are planning to scuba dive, the best time is between September and December, when the sea is calmest. February Carnival is a great time to visit, but book early and expect higher prices.
As with most Caribbean islands, the peak of the tourist season is between December and April, but this has more to do with the relatively poor weather in North America and Europe to doa than with the weather on Curacao. It is therefore best to plan a visit outside of this time when there are fewer tourists and room rates are typically 30-50% less than during the busy months.
Bonaire climate
With dry trade winds and lots of sun, the temperatures are not far from 30 ° C on any day of the year. As on the other islands of the Netherlands Antilles, October and November are the only particularly rainy months but compared to most other Caribbean islands, quite dry.
Best time to visit Bonaire
According to TOP-MEDICAL-SCHOOLS.ORG, the average daily highs are high all year round at around 28 ° C, with the humidity being bearable, so the best time to travel is from May to mid-December, when lower off-season prices are charged. Bonaire is outside the hurricane belt, although hurricanes cause damage from time to time.
The high season for cruise ships runs from October to April. Outside of this time, the port cities are quiet.
Sint Maarten climate
Like most islands in the Caribbean, Sint Maarten has average daily highs between 28 ° C in January and 30 ° C in July with rare lows of a pleasant 22 ° C. February to April are the driest months and apart from the occasional hurricanes (accompanied by heat and humidity from July to October), rainfall for the rest of the year is relatively moderate.
Best time to visit Sint Maarten
St. Maarten is warm all year round, but the rainy season from June to October can bring moisture and cyclones. The island is a cruise ship magnet for most of the year, so there is no big off-season. The prices are highest from mid-December to mid-April. The best time to visit is November to early December and May to June.
Sint Eustatius climate
With the exception of the occasional August through October hurricanes, there isn’t much to complain about about the weather in this pearl of the Caribbean. In January, the average daily maximum temperature is 29 ° C; in July it is a few degrees warmer. The average annual rainfall is 114.5 cm and is distributed quite evenly over the entire year. The relative humidity is in the low 70% range from March to December and around 75% in January and February.
Best time to visit Sint Eustatius
Sint Eustatius is pleasantly warm all year round, with prices lower during the summer months (April to August) as most potential visitors (North Americans) tend to stay in their own latitudes during this time. If prices rise sharply on other Caribbean islands during the winter months (December to April), Sint Eustatius remains affordable due to the relatively low number of visitors.
Saba climate
The average maximum temperature is 27 ° C in July but can drop to 17 ° C from December to February. Trade winds keep the island cool, especially at night. Blankets are sometimes necessary even on summer nights. Due to the differences in altitude, the temperatures in the mountains are lower than in the coastal area. With the stately Mt. Scenery Saba receives significantly more rain, clouds occur here more often than in the rest of the Caribbean, so a cloud forest could form in the mountains. The dry season is December to July.
Best time to visit Saba
Saba is one of the few islands in this region where a visit in the months of July to September is most pleasant (when a storm is not blowing over the island), although it must be said that the high temperatures mean that a trip is possible at any time.
