The University of Belize (UB) is the main public university in the country, offering degree programs in a wide range of disciplines such as business administration, engineering, law, medicine and nursing. In addition to this public institution, there are numerous private universities that offer degree programs for specialized fields such as theology or international relations. Belize also has several technical colleges offering certificate programs in various fields such as automotive technology, carpentry, construction technology or hospitality management.
