There are also international schools that offer a variety of curriculum options for expatriates living in Nepal. Nepal has made significant progress in recent years towards improving educational access and quality. The government has implemented several initiatives to increase access to primary and secondary education for all children regardless of background or economic status. This includes providing free textbooks, improving infrastructure and providing teacher training. The country is also focused on increasing the number of students enrolled at higher education institutions by introducing scholarships and fee waivers as well as increasing the number of accredited universities.
