Additionally there are several private institutions offering quality higher education in English or other foreign languages to both local students and expatriates living in Saint Lucia. Overall, despite facing certain challenges due to its economic situation, Saint Lucia has made considerable progress in improving its educational infrastructure over recent years with a focus on providing quality education to its citizens as well as creating job opportunities for them through vocational training programs.
