According to topschoolsintheusa.com, Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Kenya, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. It has an area of 241,038 sq km and a population of around 40 million people. The terrain is mostly made up of hills and mountains with some low-lying areas in the east and south. There are several lakes in the country, including Lake Victoria which is shared with Kenya and Tanzania. Uganda has an education system that consists of seven years of primary education followed by six years of secondary education. Primary school students are required to pass national examinations at the end of each year in order to advance to the next grade. At the end of secondary school, students take a final examination known as Uganda Certificate Examination (UCE) which determines whether they can enter tertiary education or not.
